BIOGRAPHY
Tomisha L. C. Stanford focuses her practice on all types of personal injury claims, drawing from a unique blend of public service, judicial experience, and human rights advocacy. She brings to Durham Law Group a deeply informed legal perspective shaped by a decade of practice, including extensive work as a judicial staff attorney and law clerk in Georgia’s trial courts.
Prior to joining Durham Law Group, Tomisha defended personal injury matters, including catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims, sexual assault cases, premises liability, product liability, as well as transportation and trucking matters. Before entering private practice, Tomisha held senior legal and executive roles at the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, where she advised on community development programs, housing initiatives, and the administration of the state’s $1.3 billion Private Activity Bond Allocation Program. She also played a key role in developing regulatory compliance protocols and improving accessibility for Limited English proficiency stakeholders.
Fluent in Spanish and proficient in Arabic, Tomisha has an academic and professional foundation in international human rights law, having earned an LL.M. from Northwestern University. She has participated in global human rights advocacy efforts across Africa and Asia and has supported access to justice efforts domestically through pro bono work and interpreter access initiatives.
In her free time, Tomisha enjoys attending concerts and music festivals, completing diamond paintings, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
